Our Local Scene Thriving
The mission and work of Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present & Future (CRPPF) has reached new milestones over the past several years. Here’s a small sample of our successes:
- Held 70 FREE public performances engaging/compensating 250+ musicians that performed at Waterloo Makes Music, a concert series on Waterloo, Wednesday Songs & Stages and Singer Songwriter Showcases
- Offered two Music Incubator Programs, providing valuable mentoring and financial resources to 12+ artists through workshops, microloans, and networking
- Helped ease the financial burdens/stress imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic awarding over $50,000 in grants to approximately 100 musicians
- Generated an economic impact in 2023 alone of almost $3 million, a significant return on the investment for CRPPF’s resources (Number based on Arts & Economic Prosperity calculator)
These accomplishments would not be possible without two key instruments, a small dedicated, talented staff working from a modest financial budget coupled with the generosity of individuals like you, patrons of the Cleveland music rock and roll community.

Through a collaboration with the Cleveland Independent Venue Association, Cleveland Foundation and Sound Music Cities, Cleveland Rocks: PPF launched the Greater Cleveland Music Census in 2023 to capture the voices of the community and gain a better understanding of the current needs of the Cleveland-area music community. More than 2700+ respondents took the survey and we lead with their responses to deliver change and impact to our community.
CRPPF is celebrating twelve years of dedicating time, talent and treasure to advance our work to honor and preserve the musical heritage and legacy of original live music, a genre that has provided millions of us with enduring memories throughout our lives.

- $100 could support a solo musician’s performance at a future CR:PPF event
- $200 could support a professional development workshop with one speaker
- $400 could support a full band performance during Waterloo Makes Music
- $500 could support the Cleveland Rocks Shop, our retail and gathering space for local music
- $600 could support an expert panel discussion on an important music business topic
- $1,500 could support a full concert with two bands, live sound and a livestream
- $2,000 could support a new Music Incubator artist project
- $2,400 could support a full year of mental health focused workshops
- $10,000 could support the development of a new Music Accelerator artist
