SUMMARY:The Songwriter’s Circle: An Evening with Elijah Bisbee & Alumni
DESCRIPTION:Cleveland Rocks: PPF’s Professional Development Workshops are held on the third Monday of the month at the Cleveland Rocks Shop (15801 Waterloo Rd.). Each workshop will focus on a different music-related topic followed by a 2×4 Songwriter Showcase featuring 4 different artists\, 2 songs each.—SEPTEMBER:The Songwriter’s Circle: An Evening with Elijah Bisbee & Alumni\nJoin us for an inspiring evening of discussion and learning at **The Songwriter’s Circle**\, featuring Terra Songwriting’s own Elijah Bisbee alongside talented alumni from his songwriting retreat. Hosted at the Cleveland Rocks Shop\, this intimate workshop will explore the creative processes of experienced songwriters and offer new insights into the art of songwriting.\n\nFeaturing performances and insights from:\n\nElijah Bisbee is a writer\, composer\, and retreat host who\, alongside his wife\, began by hosting local house shows in Cleveland with TERRA Songwriting. His passion for creating spaces for connection and growth is reflected in his music\, which aims to inspire and engage listeners. With over 2 million streams and features on editorial playlists from TIDAL\, Apple Music\, and Spotify\, Elijah continues to focus on learning\, evolving\, and sharing his journey with his audience.\n\nAli K. is a songwriter who finds her creative home in Cleveland’s music scene as the keyboardist and backing vocalist for local bands Two Mile Moon and Solon & Friends. Her writing channels her passion for lyricism and music’s power to create connection. She draws inspiration from the subtle forces in nature\, the liminal\, and the experience of being human\, but ultimately\, she aims to write songs her cat will like.\n\nCorry Michaels is a Cleveland-based singer\, songwriter\, and producer who has become a standout in the pop genre. At 27\, he’s already made an impact with his hit album *GIVE ALL YOURSELF* and his 2017 EP *Die to Me*. Known for his powerful singles like “Close” and “Black and Blue\,” Corry blends catchy melodies with heartfelt lyrics that resonate deeply. As a passionate LGBTQ advocate\, Corry uses his platform to champion important causes. His tours\, including the *Black&Blue Tour* and *Summer23 Tour*\, offer fans immersive experiences that go beyond just music. Corry Michaels isn’t just making music; he’s making a difference.\n\nTori Kurtz\, known as “Willingness\,” is an artist\, composer\, and producer focused on finding deep connection through music. After over 15 years in the industry\, she released her debut album\, *Willingness*\, in 2023\, inspired by her connection with Elijah and the TERRA community. Tori’s creative process centers on connecting with her truth through sound. She has learned that her worth isn’t defined by success but by her ability to show up honestly. Her music is an offering to life\, inviting introspection and creating a sense of belonging for others.\n\nThis program is supported by Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.
