Cleveland Rocks; Past Present Future (CR:PPF) is a non-profit organization established in 2012 with a mission to celebrate and preserve the unique heritage and legacy of Cleveland’s vibrant music scene. The organization has experienced significant growth in the past four year increasing its delivery of musical performances, events, programs and much more. And the recently completed Cleveland Music Census reaffirmed the community’s enthusiasm, interest and willingness to support Cleveland’s local music ecosystem.

Sponsorship Opportunities
CR:PPF offers a variety of program sponsorship packages designed to meet the marketing and promotional needs of businesses. Our sponsorship opportunities provide visibility, brand association, and engagement with a dedicated audience of music lovers. Here are some of the key sponsorship options available:
Now in its ninth year, Waterloo Makes Music is a free concert series held across five venues on Waterloo Road. In 2024 alone, 13 professionally produced concerts were held, showcasing the talents of 90 musicians from various genres. These events were also livestreamed, allowing a broader audience to engage through CRPPF’s Facebook and YouTube pages, maximizing visibility and reach. The music series is a highlight of the summer and fall activity in the greater Collinwood community.
In 2024, CR:PPF hosted our first winter music festival – Winterloo on Waterloo – which featured a full day of local bands and musicians performing holiday music and originals at various venues along Waterloo Rd. At each stop, attendees could purchase raffle tickets to win a gift bundle. We hope to grow this concept into an annual event for the community.
The CR:PPF Music Incubator program is a micro-loan and round-table, community-based, small music business support group. Local artists present project proposals, get connected with other artists and support volunteers, share ideas and opportunities, and direct conversations around their projects and music. Artists are eligible for loans up to $2000 for the projects they propose. Artists participate in workshops, professional development, and performance opportunities. Past participants of the Incubator program have gone on to industry acclaim and are touring regionally and even nationally in some cases. Seven talented emerging artists have been accepted for the 2025 class.
CR:PPF launched this important program in 2022 to offer resources for artists to help move them forward in their career. Now in its fourth year, the series has expanded significantly with more events and a 2×4 songwriter showcase component, which features 4 local artists performing 2 songs each. Workshop topics range from music technology, business, and networking to professional development and more. In 2024, we incorporated mental health centered workshops offering a “safe space” for musicians to receive support, resources and healing.
Rock Solid is CR:PPF’s signature event, held annually in the Fall at The Treelawn Music Hall on Waterloo Rd. Now in its fourth year, the evening is a wonderful celebration of the organization’s work and includes a variety of unique Cleveland musicians, tasty food and drinks, auction and raffle items, and great camaraderie. The event has successfully grown each year.
