Waterloo Makes Music is a free concert series, presented by Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present, Future, showcasing acts from the Cleveland music scene at various locations in the Waterloo Arts & Entertainment District.
APOSTLE JONES is a fearless CLEVELAND based band, on an electric, style-bending mission: powerful vocals, virtuoso guitar riffs and raw soul to inspire! A spirited stage performance and an ascending experience is what Apostle Jones brings with spirit stomping roots of Rock’n’Roll and Soulful Blues to listeners. This Indie-Soul experience is authentic, saucy and colors outside the lines. Lead Singer-Songwriter for the band, Mikey Silas, originally born in the rock’n’roll capital Cleveland (OH), grew up in Chicago where his love for blues, theatre and soul music, expanded his songwriting and stage performance. Upon moving back to Cleveland, Mikey (singer/keys) united with current line-up Michael (guitar), Charde and Honey (BGV), Jinari (bass), Charlie Uncle Gnarly (Sax), Eric (trumpet), Owen (keys/bass) and Rashon Blake (drums). The group is made up of performing musicians from various disciplines and background.
MR&B are a modern twist on Americana, with tasteful bits of folk and classic rock. The passionate vocals and prolific songwriting of Maura Rogers are supported by lush harmonies, a dynamic rhythm section, and intricate arrangements with driving accordion and guitar leads.
