Waterloo Makes Music is a free concert series on Waterloo as a gift to all the music lovers in the community, and a celebration of Cleveland’s amazing musical legacy.
Tommy Lehman is a trumpeter and vocalist from Akron, Ohio. He is a graduate of Tri-C Jazz Studies program, The Hartt School of Music, and is currently studying for his Masters’ degree at Cleveland State University. He has played professionally in the greater Northeast Ohio region for the last ten years, regularly recording and touring with Nathan-Paul and The Admirables, Nine Lives Project, Bassel and The Super Naturals, Dan Wilson and Voices, as well as projects under his own name. In December of 2022, Lehman released an EP entitled Uplift, which features a quartet made up of Smokeface on bass, Gabe Jones on drums, and Andru Senpai on keys. Hubb’s Groove. Northeast Ohio Drummer extraordinaire Robert Hubbard leads All-Star BAND. Hubb’s Groove is a mix of Soul, Jazz, R&B and a splash of Gospel. It’s a smooth but yet high energy band that believes what’s played from the heart, reaches the heart. The band was founded In 1996 by Robert Hubbard in Cleveland Ohio under the name “Moments Notice.” In 2006 Robert, changed the name to “Hubb’s Groove.” The band has shared the stage with Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler, Earth Wind & Fire, Wayman Tisdale, TONY TONi Tone, Will Downing,Randy Crawford and Pieces of a Dream. Hubb’s Groove has performed with Angela Bofill, Marcus Johnson, Alex Bugnon, Mike Phillips and Sean Jones to name a few.
