Javier Davis: 1800-sos is a multi-genre music producer and turntablist who blends a deep love of sound design with jazz influences. With years of experience in audio engineering, he has worked alongside acclaimed artists such as Dominick Farinacci, Kim Nazarian, and Terence Blanchard in the Cleveland area. Driven by a passion for jazz and composition, he continues to refine his craft while pushing creative boundaries. His sound draws from dance-influenced house, jazz, and storytelling, creating a style that fuses live musicianship with club culture. His live performances combine turntablism and live instrumentation in high-energy dance formats, with a focus on elevating the musical capabilities of the artists he collaborates with. His work spans original productions, remixes, and collaborative projects such as Coast to Coast, an EP created with Cleveland artist Mr. Fowler before his move to Los Angeles in pursuit of a broader musical career. Currently, he tours internationally with Joanne Shaw Taylor, managing live sound production. He credits much of his journey to volunteering, networking, and building community across the arts in music, film, and live production, working alongside organizations and community leaders such as David Kennedy, Randy Chase, AD Jackson, Harold Stalsworth, Kings Church, Remedy Church, Tri-C Center for Creative Arts, and Cleveland Rocks PPF.
