Waterloo Makes Music: Maira Viana with Sarah Arafa

Waterloo Makes Music (WMM) is a free concert series, programmed by Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present, Future, as a gift to all the music lovers in the community, and a celebration of Cleveland’s amazing musical legacy. Held in the Waterloo Arts & Entertainment District, the Tower series features local Waterloo area bands/musicians.

Maira Viana:
Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Brazil.
She is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame full year musician and live crew/production during summer.
She will get her Recording Arts degree in August 2022 by Tri-C.
In 2020, her original composition “In My Own Defense” was a winning song at the Berklee College of Music and Global Partners Competition, “The Art of Music Production.”
Maira Vianna was accepted by the voice department of Berklee College of Music to be a student. She completed the 2 years of Berklee Music jazz Program at Cuyahoga Community College.
Maíra Vianna is emerging onto the music scene with a distinctive voice, original compositions and new versions of the traditional and celebrated Brazilian Songbook.
Sarah Arafat:
Cleveland based musician/singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Jordan, moved to the States in 2014. Instruments include: guitar, piano, drums, ukulele, banjo, bass, and angst.
